Gladstone Elisha Passley

In Loving Remembrance of;
Gladstone Elisha Passley;
Gladstone Elisha Passley, affectionately called "Denny," was born on August 3, 1949 in the town of Buff Bay, in the Parish of Portland, Jamaica, W.I. and grew up in a neighboring distric called Kildare.
He was the seventh of eight children born to Vernon and Zaidie Passley, three of his siblings died, as well as his father, Vernon Passley. Gladstone attended Buff Bay all-age school. After leaving there, he attended Chesterdale Vocational School, a branch of the United States of America Peace Corp. At Chesterdale he was trained as an electician, and upon graduation, he moved to the capital, Kingston, where he worked as an electrician for different companies, including Dunbar Electrics for a few years.

He got married to Carol Stewart in 1974 and had one child, Tashna Passley. He then decided to enlist with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, where he served as a Policeman for several years. During this period, his wife and daughter migrated to Maryland, USA, and he started a relationship with Cathrina Bell, who he fathered two daughters with, Suzanne Passley and Cristina Passley.

In 1990, Gladstone decided to migrate to the USA, to be with his wife Carol and daughter Tashna in Maryland, USA. He started working as an electrician, and after a while, he decided to stert his own heating and cooling business. He then decided to turn a new chapter in his life, and attended Atholton Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He remained a faithful member to his church family, and served as a Deacon untill he became ill in April, 2008, when he suffered a stroke from High Blood Pressure.

Sometime during the 1990's, he seperated from his wife Carol, and subsiquently got divorced. He lived alone for a few years, until he met Maria Kennedy Belcina, who is an immigrant from the Philippinese. They got married on October 16, 2005. They were a very loving and happy couple until he died in her arms on Thursday, January 13, 2012. after a long talk with his mother, who is an Evangelist and a Christian since long before he was born.

Gladstone Passley was a very humble, easygoing individual. He was always doing his best to satisfy his family, friends, customers, all the people he came in contact with, and most of all, his God, whom he served diligently. Because of his diabetic condition, he suffered three strokes, the last one leaving him paralyzed. His very devoted wife, Maria, has been a tower of strength and was always by his side. He would always say that if it was'nt for her dedication and unending love, he would have died long ago.

He leaves behind his Wife Maria Passley, ex-wife Carol Stewart Passley, Daughters Tashna Passley, Suzanne Passley and Cristina Passley, Mother Zaidie Elaine Passley, Sister Joan Passley, Amy Passley, and Shirley Passley-Walters, His Brother Derrick George Passley, and a host of Neices and Nephews all over the world. He leaves us not to mourn, but to celebrate his life, and the time he had on Planet Earth, even though the loss of Gladstone is painful to us all.

His Family, relatives and friends will forever be thankful and grateful for the services and steadfast faith of the caregivers at Atholton. Pastor Jencks, Mrs Rae, Ms Pamela, and all others who have been a great help during his time of need. They all made his fight even more worth it, but as with every soldier after the war, he needed rest. May his soul forever rest in peace and the light of God perpetually shine upon him. R.I.P.

When i die i may not go to heaven, cause i don't know if they let black men in...but if they don't, just send me back to Jamaica, Because Jamaica is the closest that i have been.
I have been all over this big wide world, yeah.. from sea to bright and shining sea, but of all these wonderful places on this planet..Jamaica is still the closest one to heaven.
So when i die they may not want me in heaven, i don't know if they want Ganja smokers there..But if they don't, i'll be in real good company, because i am sure Bob Marley will be there, yes i am sure Peter Tosh will be there, yeeesss man..just send me back to Jamaica, i swear i'll be alright out there. yeah mon.
